Caregiver's Diary
The diary helps to ensure a person-centred approach to care by providing a practical resource to record a person's personal details (date of birth, contact details etc), their history (family members, past occupation, etc.), likes and dislikes (foods, music etc) and routine.

Stories of Caring
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland's Galway Branch produced this a book entitled Stories of Caring which outlines the experience of some carers of people with dementia.
This bilingual publication is available at a cost of €8, contact our Galway office at 091 561556 to order your copy.

The Life Story Book
Life Story Books are a well established and excellent method of communication with people with dementia and offer family, friends a professionals a greater insight into the person, their life and history.
The book costs €17.50 plus postage.

Dear Grandma
This publication is a story book for children aged 8 years and over to help to explain dementia and Alzheimer's disease. The book focuses on two children and their experience with their grandma and the changes that her condition brings.

Petals of Prayer CD

This CD is a collection of Christian prayers and reflections for people with dementia and their families. It costs €10 plus €2 postage. It is available by contacting Sister Siobhan O'Keeffe at the Sacred Heart Convent, Goresbrook Road, Dagenham, Essex RM9 6XD, England or by emailing siobhansshjm@aol.com. Sister O'Keeffe is the co-ordinator of a dementia support service in Essex, England.
