The Society provides dementia-specific overnight respite to people with dementia in our national centre in Blackrock, Co Dublin. Currently the centre provides service 24 hours / 7 days per week and is open to people with dementia living anywhere in Ireland. For more information please click here.
The Neurological Alliance of Ireland, of which the Society is a member, is campaigning for a national programme for neurological care. Help this campaign and sign the petition at www.nai.ie. We would like to say a big thank to Deputy Jimmy Deenihan and all the TDs, Senators and members of the public who took part in yesterday's Oireachtas Hill Walk at Sliabh Beagh, Co. Monaghan in aid of The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. It was great to see so many people joining together to show their support for people in Ireland living with Alzheimer’s disease.
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the Flora Women's Mini Marathon for The Alzheimer Society of Ireland. We had over 500 ladies supporting us this year and each and every one of them trained hard and spent months collecting sponsorship from family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues.
