National Helpline Service

If you are a person with dementia, caring for some-one with dementia or are concerned about yourself or a loved one, why not talk to someone who understands.

If you are working with people with dementia or are a student and want to know more about our services and what we do in your area, you can also call the Helpline.

The National Helpline Service is a confidential, free phone service which provides information, support, guidance and referrals to appropriate services and organisations.

Callers speak to a trained, dedicated helpline worker. The helpline operates from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 4 pm. You can call us outside these hours and leave your name, a contact number and a brief message. Please note the Helpline cannot respond to messages to call other people, we can only respond to those who contact us directly.

Calls are free from the Republic of Ireland. If calling from outside the Republic, please call our national office at 01 207 3800 and ask to speak to our Helpline Service. Standard telephone charges apply.

You can also email us with any queries or requests and we will respond as soon as possible- helpline@alzheimer.ie

Please note that while we are happy to receive enquiries from anywhere, we can only provide information from the perspective of the Republic of Ireland.

Helpline calls and emails are occasionally monitored for training and evaluation purposes.
