Mission Statement

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland's Vision is:

To promote a world free of Alzheimer's disease / dementia and ensure that those with the condition and their carers occupy their righful place in society, are respected and understood and have fulfilling lives.

Mission
Our mission is to advocate the rights and meet the needs of people with dementia and those who care for them.

Core Values
The Society has identified four core values for the work that we do:

  • Person centred care - placing the person at the centre of everything we do
  • Rights Based- promoting the rights of the person with Alzheimer’s disease/dementia, carer and family
  • Grassroots Led- A shared commitment to people with dementia and their carers that is grassroots led.
  • Learning Led - respecting and valuing people's contribution and dedication to learning from each other.
