The Cafe's aim is to offer support and information to individuals with dementia and their families and to promote social inclusion. The Cafe is organised and run by professionals, held on the last Tuesday of every month from 7pm until 9pm in the Brackenstown Parish Centre.

The Memory Harbour

A service for people in area HSE CHO 6 concerned about their memory, those diagnosed with dementia, their families and carers. An Occupational Therapist will meet with you to discuss concerns and offer suggestions and strategies to overcome day-to-day memory problems. Assistive Technology advice and demonstration. Meeting by appointment.

This choir is for older people and particularly welcomes those affected by memory loss.

Musical Memories Choir

Musical Memories is a choir for older people, especially welcoming to people affected by dementia and memory loss, their families, friends and carers. Rehearsals take place every Thursday from 11-12:30 at Deansgrange Library. Membership is currently full, but there is a waiting list in place. The fee is €5 per person which includes tea, coffee, biscuits.

Siel Bleu Physical Activities

Siel Bleu holds a range of physical activity sessions which are open for people with dementia and their carers to attend. The cost per session is €5. Siel Bleu also offers one to one classes which can be held in people’s homes at a cost of €30 per session. About Alzheimer Ireland

We offer a range of services for people with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, their families and carers. All our services operate using the philosophy of person centred care.

Featured Events

Fundraising is an extremely important source of revenue for our services and takes place locally across Ireland as well as through national events and campaigns. We aim is to raise €5 million a year.

Campaigns

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland has, since it was founded, campaigned on behalf of people with dementia and their carers to improve the lives of all those affected by dementia.
